Over a Van’s life, it is reasonable to assume there will be some degree of stone chips and scuffing of paintwork and interiors over time. This would be considered ‘wear and tear’.
Like most other comprehensive motor insurance policies, wear and tear is excluded from the Rentsure policy. Members are reminded that a Motor Insurance Policy is designed to cover the sudden physical loss, damage or destruction to the Van.
We ask that our owners are reasonable and use good judgement when it comes to gradual damage caused by wear and tear. Your Van income and service fee will compensate you for the wear and tear that may occur over time whilst your Van is out on hire.

If you are worried about your Van coming back with stone chips whilst out on hire, we would recommend the following precautions:
Ensure you know exactly where the hirer is going, and that you are comfortable with their exact destination and route, get this in writing, GPS units are a good peace of mind.
If you’ve agreed to a long term hire and/or one that will be going on unsealed road quality service tyre check and all other necessary items should be considered prior to the trip.
