Camplify’s algorithm is designed to connect hirers with the perfect RV for their trip. Search results are personalised based on each hirer’s criteria, making it easier to find and book the ideal camper for their next adventure. By applying filters and search preferences, hirers are shown the most relevant options tailored to their needs.

What affects a listing’s position in search?

Camplify’s search algorithm evaluates multiple factors to determine the best order for search results. Some criteria carry more weight than others, and a combination of these elements shapes the final ranking. The system also ensures a diverse selection of RVs are displayed, giving hirers the flexibility to choose the best option for their trip.

• Membership status - Premium members are prioritised.

• Rating - Owners with higher review ratings.

• Quality - Top-quality listings are prioritised in search results including those with a selected cover image, multiple high-quality photos, and up-to-date and accurate descriptions.

• Engagement - Higher bookings and more frequent interactions, combined with fast response times to requests and in-app communication, can improve your listing’s visibility in search results.

Hirers will also filter listings based on their requirements such as location, berths, booking type, dates, listing type and other features. Make sure your listing is up to date with as many features as possible to maximise your chance of appearing to the hirer.

Why isn’t my listing at the top?

Hirers see listings based on their current and past activity, search preferences, and applied filters, meaning search results change dynamically with each search as the algorithm refines recommendations. If a camper matches a hirer's filters, it will appear higher in their results. However, if you search for your own listing, it may not always appear in the same position and could require scrolling to find. Listings are no longer fixed to specific pages but are reshuffled upon each search to present the best options for the hirer.

Does blocking off dates affect my ranking?

No. You can block out dates without worrying about your listing’s position. Your listing will not appear in the search results if the date range overlaps with your blocked calendar date as expected.

Finding your listing quickly in search

To find your listing in search, use your postcode and then apply filters unique to your listing to check to see if it is live, such as listing type and price. Check through each page to see your public listing. If your listing does not appear, a member of our team may have reached out to you to advise why your listing has been removed.
