We hear all the time from holidaymakers that they love owners with prompt response times on Camplify. We also know that owners who respond to booking requests quickly get lots more hires and make more money from their RVs.

Requests now expire if they aren't responded to within 24hrs

From now on, you'll notice a comment in your booking request notification indicating that the booking request will expire if you don't respond within 24 hours. See an example of the SMS notification below.

Common questions about this update

What if I don't see the booking request notification in time?

We are making this change to improve the experience for holidaymakers i.e. your potential customers. You will receive the notification via email and SMS, so as long as you have your phone handy, you should see the request in time to respond before the booking is cancelled/expired.

What if I don't want to approve the booking within 24 hours?

That's fine. We understand sometimes you will want to think about whether to take a hire or not. In this case, you would still respond and acknowledge the hirer's request so they know the enquiry has been received.

In any case, we highly recommend you have a standard response ready for each new booking request. Below is a demonstration of how you can respond to a booking request in just a few seconds by using a templated response stored on your smartphone.

Step 1. Login to Camplify and view the booking request

Step 2. Copy/paste a templated response with standard questions into your reply to the holidaymaker

What kind of questions should I ask the hirer before approving a booking?

Here's a handy list of questions you could ask before approving any booking. Of course, your own questions will vary depending on whether you have a towable or driveable RV.

  • Where are you planning to take my RV?
  • What is your towing experience?
  • What is your tow vehicle?
  • Will you be the only driver?
  • What time would you like to pick up/drop off the RV?
  • How many people are you looking to accommodate?
  • Do you have an electronic brake controller?
  • Would you like to hire any extra items?
  • Have you stayed in a caravan before?
